Moreover, they are only granted access to personal data to the extent necessary.

8. COOKIES

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on our website. These are small text files that are stored on your terminal device, which store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your terminal device and enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). Cookies do not contain any personal data and can therefore not be assigned to any user. Based on the cookie technology, we only receive anonymized information, for example, from which websites you have visited our website, which pages on our website have been viewed, etc. Please note that certain cookies are already set as soon as you enter our website. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. However, if you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited. Below you will find information about the cookies we use and the setting option of your browser.

9. TRACKING TOOLS

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc (www.google.com). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is shortened in Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and in Switzerland before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

The information is used to evaluate the use of our website, to compile reports on the activities on our website and to provide other services related to the use of the website for the purposes of market research and demand-oriented design of the website.

For more information about the web analytics service we use, please visit the Google Analytics website. You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out for users who are resident or domiciled in Switzerland that there are surveillance measures in place in the USA by US authorities which generally allow the storage of all personal data of all persons whose data has been transferred from Switzerland to the USA. This is done without any differentiation, limitation or exception based on the objective pursued and without any objective criterion that would make it possible to limit the access of the U.S. authorities to the data and their subsequent use to very specific, strictly limited purposes that are capable of justifying the interference associated with both the access to and the use of such data. In addition, we would like to point out that in the U.S. there are no legal remedies available to data subjects from Switzerland that would allow them to gain access to the data concerning them and to obtain its correction or deletion, or that there is no effective judicial legal protection against general access rights of U.S. authorities. We explicitly draw the attention of the data subject to this legal and factual situation so that he or she can make an appropriately informed decision to consent to the use of his or her data.

With your prior consent pursuant to Art. 13 (1) DSG or Art. 6 (1) lit. a EU-DSGVO, we use the so-called "Facebook Pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are a resident of the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, on our website.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook can determine the visitors to our website as a target group for the display of ads (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display Facebook ads placed by us only to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our website or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences").

With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

The Facebook pixel is directly integrated by Facebook when you visit our website and can save a so-called cookie on your device. If you subsequently log in to Facebook or visit Facebook while logged in, your visit to our website will be noted in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous for us, so it does not offer us any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible. The data can therefore be used by Facebook for its own market research and advertising purposes.

Furthermore, when using the Facebook Pixel, we use the additional function "extended matching", whereby data for the creation of target groups ("Custom Audiences" or "Look Alike Audiences") is transmitted to Facebook in encrypted form.

The processing of data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook's privacy policy. Specific information and details about the Facebook Pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook's help section.

Information on the corresponding cookie storage period can be found on our cookie overview page.

You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and use of your data to display Facebook ads. To adjust which types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can visit the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there regarding the settings for usage-based advertising.

Furthermore, you can revoke or deactivate your consent to the use of cookies that are used for range measurement and advertising purposes at any time. You can find the options here:
